A new, synchronous drum motor for belt conveyor systems from Interroll provides output up to 1.1 kilowatts, high torque and high belt tension for greater flexibility in high-throughput product conveyance. Moving belts at speeds up to 11 feet per second, the motor accommodates steep acceleration and braking ramps.

Its drive is manufactured entirely of stainless steel and can be cleaned in 30% less time than traditional gear motors, making it ideal for food and pharmaceutical industries.

Additionally, the unit’s hardened steel planetary gear transfers up to 95% of available power directly to the relevant conveyor system, drastically reducing energy usage.
