A customized, bidirectional automatic guided vehicle (AGV) enhances component part delivery from supermarket to space-restricted, work-in-process locations.

Built to operate through two, 8-hour shifts, the AGV features a powered conveyor deck that holds 24 x 24-inch pallets—accepting the load from one side of the unit and dispensing from the other. Navigating with a guidepath, each end of the AGV operates independently to ensure accurate and repeatable tracking in space restrictive areas.

The guidepath also ensures alignment so that the AGV’s conveyor smoothly and consistently transfers loads. The vehicle travels at speeds up to 115 feet per minute, and carries a maximum capacity of 1,984 pounds.
