The Automated Cut and Wrap Device is a pneumatically powered device that can be mounted to the frame of any TAB WRAPPER TORNADO Orbital Stretch Wrap Machine. The device has a spring loaded cutter head on one end of a Teflon coated shaft and a pinching pad made of nylon on the opposite end of the shaft. When the Automated Cut and Wrap device is activated, the Teflon coated shaft extends out from inside the device, grabbing hold of the stretch wrap that is attached to the dispensing unit of the TAB WRAPPER TORNADO. When the Automated Cut and Wrap Device retracts, the stretch wrap slides down the Teflon shaft and gets sandwiched between the cutter head and the pinching pad. The blade on the left side of the cutter head cuts the stretch wrap, thus freeing the fully wrapped pallet. While at the same time the stretch wrap that is still connected to the dispensing unit is pinched on the right side of the device by the nylon pinching pad. As a result, the Automated Cut and Wrap device is now once again primed and ready for the next pallet.

1) The “Double Bevel/Center Bevel” blade design combines the greatest cutting ability and resistance to dulling and gives long life to the blade.

2) The “Cutter head” on the auto-cut device has a shear edge for cutting on one side and a spring plunger on the opposite side for better holding of the wrap stretch-wrap.

3) A special Teflon coating is applied to the shaft of the auto-cut device. This allows the stretch wrap to slide, rather than stick to the shaft and helps to improve the performance and longevity of the device.
